FAQ

Cryotherapy chamber

What's a session actually like?

You change into a robe, socks and gloves, then step into the chamber for up to four minutes while our team guides you. Sensors read the temperature of each body part, and you're done once every area has reached its target for the mild, default or intense setting you chose. You can talk to us throughout, and you'll warm up quickly afterwards.

Does it hurt, or feel too cold?

The air is very cold but dry, so most people find it bracing rather than painful. You can ask to stop at any time, and our team keeps an eye on you throughout.

Is there a cheaper way than booking one session at a time?

Yes. A 6-session package is £270 (£45 a session) compared with £59 for a single session. We also offer day passes and protocols that combine several therapies.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear something comfortable that's easy to change out of. We provide a robe, socks and gloves. Please make sure your skin is dry before you start, and ask our team if you have any questions on the day.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. Some people come once for a boost, others build a regular routine alongside their training. We'll talk through what suits you at your first visit.

Is cryotherapy right for me?

It suits many healthy adults, but not everyone, for example during pregnancy or with some heart, blood-pressure or cold-sensitivity conditions. You'll complete a consent form before your first session. If you're unsure, ask us or your doctor.

FAQ

Hyperbaric oxygen

What's a session actually like?

Pretty relaxing! You recline in a comfy adjustable chair, breathe oxygen through a mask as the pressure gently builds, and watch Netflix or YouTube (or use your own phone or laptop). A team member is always nearby and you can talk to us at any time.

Will my ears feel strange?

Possibly. Your ears may feel full as the pressure builds, a bit like take-off on a plane. We have ear plugs, chewing gum and water ready to help, and we're right here if you need us.

Is there a cheaper way than booking one session at a time?

Yes! 6-session packages bring it down to £50 a session for 30 minutes, £80 for 60 minutes and £100 for 90 minutes. We also have day passes, like The Big 3 (cryotherapy chamber, red light and HBOT) for £135.

Which session length should I choose?

Sessions are 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Not sure? Message us and we'll help you pick.

What should I wear or bring?

Something comfortable, and arrive 5 minutes early. Phones and laptops are welcome! Please leave lighters, aerosols, keys and glass bottles outside the chamber.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your goals, and we can't promise specific results. Some clients start with a single session to try it, others go for 6 (or more) session packages. Tell us what you're hoping for and we'll point you in the right direction.

Is HBOT right for me?

HBOT isn't suitable for everyone, so we email a short consent form with your booking confirmation that covers who it may not be suitable for. If you're unsure about anything, just ask us or your doctor, we're happy to chat.

FAQ

Red light and NIR

What's a session actually like?

You relax while red and near-infrared light is directed at your skin. Our team will guide you through setup and stay close throughout. Most people find it warm and comfortable, and sessions last 13 or 20 minutes.

Is it painful, or does it get hot?

No. Most people find it gently warm and relaxing. Our team will explain what to expect before you start, and you can ask to stop at any time.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're using it for. Many people start with a short course of regular sessions and adjust from there. Our team can suggest a sensible plan, and results vary from person to person.

Is there a cheaper way than booking one session at a time?

Yes. A package of 6 sessions brings the price down to £28 per session for the 13-minute option, or £32 per session for the 20-minute option. Red light is also included in our day passes and some protocols.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear something comfortable that is easy to adjust. If you're treating a particular area, our team will tell you what needs to be uncovered and will make sure you're comfortable throughout.

Is red light therapy right for me?

It suits many people, but not everyone, for example during pregnancy or if you're light-sensitive or take light-sensitising medication. You'll complete a consent form before your first session, and our team is happy to talk it through. If you have a health condition, please speak to your doctor first.

FAQ

Local cryotherapy

What's a session actually like?

We'll agree the area to be treated, then cold is applied to just that area for a short, supervised session. It's quick, you stay dressed apart from exposing the area, and you can go straight back to your day afterwards.

Does it hurt, or feel too cold?

It feels very cold on the skin, and most people find it intense but short-lived and tolerable. The area can feel tingly or numb for a little while. Tell your therapist straight away if you're uncomfortable and the session can be stopped.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear something loose that lets you easily expose the area being treated, for example shorts for a knee or a short-sleeved top for an elbow or shoulder. There's nothing else you need to bring.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people come for a single session, others book a package and come regularly. It depends on your goals and how you feel afterwards, and your therapist can talk it through with you. We don't promise any particular result.

Is local cryotherapy right for me?

It's a good fit for many people, but not everyone. It isn't suitable if you're pregnant, or have circulation problems, cold sensitivity or skin conditions in the area to be treated. You'll complete a consent form before your first session, and we recommend speaking to your doctor if you're unsure.

How much does it cost?

A single local cryotherapy session is £45. If you'd like to come regularly, a package of 6 sessions is £168, which works out at £28 per session.

FAQ

Compression therapy

What's a session actually like?

You'll be settled comfortably and our team will fit the compression sleeves or boots. They gently inflate and release in a rhythmic pattern while you relax. It's a comfortable, non-invasive session, and you can go straight back to your day afterwards.

Does it hurt?

It shouldn't. Most people describe a firm but gentle squeeze. If the pressure ever feels too strong or uncomfortable, tell your therapist and it can be adjusted or stopped.

How much does it cost?

A single compression therapy session is £29. If you'd like to come regularly, a package of 6 sessions is £150, which works out at £25 per session.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing that's easy to roll up or remove from the area being treated. There's nothing else you need to bring.

How many sessions will I need?

Some people come for a single session, others book a package and come regularly, for example alongside training. It depends on your goals and how you feel afterwards, and your therapist can talk it through with you. We don't promise any particular result.

Is compression therapy right for me?

It suits many people, but not everyone. You'll complete a consent form before your first session, and we recommend speaking to your doctor if you have a circulation or other medical condition.

FAQ

Blue Light Cryo Facial

What happens in a session?

Our team sets you up with the cooling LED mask and you relax for the session. Arrive a few minutes early to complete your consent form and settle in. There's no downtime afterwards, so you can go straight back to your day.

Does it hurt?

No. Most people find it relaxing. The mask feels cool and the LED light is gentle. If anything feels uncomfortable, tell our team and they'll adjust things for you.

How much does it cost?

A single Blue Light Cryo Facial session is £12.50. If you'd like to come regularly, a package of 6 sessions is £60, which works out at £10 per session.

What should I wear or bring?

Come with a clean face if you can, and avoid heavy makeup. Wear something comfortable, and tell our team about any skincare products or treatments you've recently used.

How many sessions will I need?

It's personal. Many people enjoy a single session as a treat, while others build it into a regular routine. We suggest starting with a short run of sessions and seeing how you feel. Results vary and can't be guaranteed.

Is the Blue Light Cryo Facial right for me?

It suits many people, but not everyone. It may not be suitable if you are sensitive to light, have an active skin condition or infection, open wounds, a recent facial procedure, or are pregnant. Your consent form covers this, and you're welcome to message us or check with your doctor if you're unsure.

FAQ

Chiropractic

When does chiropractic start?

Michelle joins the clinic in December. Join the waitlist on our short sign-up form and we will tell you as soon as bookings open.

What happens at my first appointment?

Michelle takes a full history, examines how you move and explains her findings and your options in plain English. Allow around 45 minutes, with a second visit of about 30 minutes for your report of findings.

Is chiropractic treatment painful?

Most people find treatment comfortable. Tell Michelle if anything is uncomfortable and she will adjust her approach. Some people feel mild soreness afterwards, similar to after exercise.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on you and what Michelle finds. She will give an honest view and you decide how to proceed.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly.

Comfortable clothing you can move in.
